41+2 delivery with the full moon

Yes here it is! My delivery story of Kilua!

It’s no secret that I was hoping to give birth a little earlier than the due date. Around 38 weeks seemed nice!
Well with my big mouth I have also often said that I did want a bull ♉️ (that’s me so nice ego centric again🤣) THUS course the universe will let me run as long as I get my way!
A bull IT IS! And as with Ryoma, this delivery also began with the full moon.

Had it stripped on Monday because on Tuesday I had an appointment scheduled at the hospital for an introduction.
I do often hear that after stripping, you have a high chance of having a labor storm but it can also do exactly nothing.
Stripped!
Well I must belong to the latter because nothing happened at all and I didn’t really feel anything change either….
so unfortunately.

Tuesday morning I woke up and did have a bit of a nagging feeling so maybe some practice contractions because it wasn’t that splashy yet (I now had some comparison material) so I was pretty sure we just had to get to our hospital appointment in the afternoon.

But NO! It persevered! Still kind of glad it started on its own!
Obstetrician called and she would stop by around 11:30 to check on me, as a matter of fact I could still function.

11:30 just a check-up! Oeiii it did go faster than expected because I was already at 5 cm so off to the hospital!
FULL MOON = Enschede hospital VOL😭
So we have to go on to Almelo! NOEEE I really don’t want to🥲 I’m still trying to stretch for my life but have to go on to Almelo.

By now the contractions are getting more intense and I just hooked up the tens ( I swear by this little apparaatje✌🏼 )
Once we arrived, we were given a nice welcome and an IV was fixed.

I feel mega lucid and sober all the time, which is kind of strange to be so over conscious about giving birth. It all went very quickly and smoothly and chose to break the membranes.

Yahoor also Kilua pooped in the amniotic fluid just like Ryoma so became medical and there is some hurry now.

At one point I’m at 9 cm so that did go really fast but unfortunately I was stuck at this for a very long time and I was also told that he wasn’t quite right for it… I was just waiting for that push or primal force but no idea, didn’t feel it…. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very annoying because those contractions and pain at 9 cm is not normal PIJNLIJK! I was spacing out heavily by now and I think I also asked several times in desperation if I couldn’t still have an epidural or if the baby couldn’t just be pulled out.
BUT NO.

The gynecologist joined us and things were getting tense because either the baby is coming out now or an emergency C-section?

For me it was all blur here so finally the redemption for my feelings, cut and vacuum!
Finally the head I felt and then you think; floepp the rest but also here, setback; it was just stuck😱 so had to push along with 3 more contractions… omg mega painful… Hani described the last moment as war 🙈

There he was!!! Soulfully happy that he was finally there and it was done!

Explanation of why it went so “laborious”: IT WAS A MEGA BABY…. much bigger than expected….

Stayed 1 night in the hospital and then went home the next morning.

Now still recovering because it was quite a bevalling✌🏼
